You will all be sorted – NDC’s Deputy General Secretary assures party faithful

Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Foyo M. Gbande, has appealed for calm and unity among members of the party amid growing concerns from the grassroots over what many see as neglect after the NDC’s hard-fought victory.

In a Facebook post shared after a review of feedback gathered during a recent stakeholder engagement, Gbande acknowledged the frustrations being voiced by members and sympathizers, assuring them that their concerns have not gone unnoticed.

“After a careful review of the many concerns and feedback received during our recent stakeholder engagements, I wish to address the growing sense of frustration and disappointment being expressed by sections of our rank and file,” he wrote on October 14.

He explained that it was natural for expectations to be high following the party’s return to power, noting that feelings of neglect among some supporters stem from the immense sacrifices they made during the campaign.

“We fully acknowledge that expectations are high after the hard-fought victory we achieved together. I understand that some comrades feel neglected or overlooked in the immediate post-election period. These feelings are not misplaced — they come from genuine sacrifice and loyalty,” he added.

Gbande urged members to remain patient as leadership works to find fair and lasting ways to address issues relating to jobs, welfare, and inclusion within the party.

“I urge everyone to remain calm and patient as leadership works through practical and sustainable ways to address issues relating to jobs, welfare, and relationships within our structures,” he said.

He reminded supporters that the party’s leadership is committed to serving the collective interest and called for restraint in public expressions of frustration, warning that disunity could weaken the movement.

“We must remain guided, measured, and united in our communication, knowing that disunity serves no one but our opponents,” he cautioned.

Gbande ended his message with a call for perseverance and trust in the leadership, emphasizing that patience and resilience always produce results.

“Let us stay focused. Let us stay disciplined. And let us remember that patience and resilience always win in the end,” he said.

In recent weeks, some NDC supporters and grassroots activists have voiced disappointment over what they describe as neglect following the party’s return to government.

Many campaign volunteers and foot soldiers have used social media and local party platforms to demand recognition, appointments, and job opportunities, citing the sacrifices they made to secure the party’s victory.

Party leaders have since been engaging various groups across the country to listen to concerns and manage expectations. These meetings have emphasized unity, discipline, and continued trust in the leadership’s commitment to inclusiveness and fair distribution of opportunities.

Foyo Gbande’s latest message forms part of broader efforts to calm tensions and reinforce solidarity within the NDC as it works to deliver on its promises to the Ghanaian people.
