The Bono Regional Police Command has begun investigations into the killing of two ADRAS timber concession guards and the burning of a vehicle at Mpamso forest near Nsuhia in the Dormaa Municipality of the Bono Region.

Two security guards, Sani Aliyu, 34, and Ibrahim Musa, 35, have been killed in a violent attack by suspected illegal chainsaw operators at the ADRAS Timber Concession.

According to a statement issued by the Bono Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, police have launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.

The incident was reported by Ibrahim Issah, 41, also a security guard at the concession, who told police that about 200 armed men wielding guns and machetes invaded the site on October 26, 2025.

Police officers who responded to the report discovered the bodies of the two deceased lying about 100 meters apart, both with multiple gunshot wounds.

A Toyota pickup truck with registration number GT 3079-17 was also found burnt beyond repair during the assault.

The bodies have been deposited at the Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.

The police have condemned the attack, urging the public to avoid violent acts and to use lawful means to address grievances.
