The management of GIHOC Distilleries Company Limited has dismissed reports claiming the company has abandoned the government’s 24-hour economy initiative due to low demand.
In a statement, the company clarified that at no point did its Acting Chief Executive Officer or any member of management suggest or imply such a position, adding that it has also not called for a clampdown on alcohol imports as alleged in some media reports.
“At no point did the Acting Chief Executive Officer or any member of Management suggested or implied that “GIHOC Abandons 24-Hour Economy Initiative Over Low Demand” or that GIHOC had “urged Government t o clamp down on alcohol imports.” the statement said.
