Police have arrested the Senior Pastor of Graceland Sanctuary, Major Wisdom Nutsugah, along with two of his junior pastors, for allegedly performing rituals involving six okada riders at Buduburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
According to reports, the pastor, who is also the founder of the church, invited the six riders, whom he had previously purchased motorbikes for, to his residence for a meeting after accusing them of failing to meet their daily sales targets.
When the riders arrived, he reportedly locked them in a dark room and ordered them to undress. The pastor then instructed one of his junior pastors to fetch a pot containing blood from a secret room.
The victims told Nana Ansah that the pastor assaulted them and forced them to eat toffees he took from the blood-filled pot. They added that he threatened to harm anyone who disobeyed him and even attempted to mutilate their genitals.
One of the victims, however, managed to escape and alerted the police, who subsequently rescued the others and arrested the pastor and his two associates. The suspects are currently in custody at the Kasoa Divisional Police Command.
Meanwhile, the Assembly Member for the Buduburam Electoral Area, Emmanuel Dogbe, has condemned the incident and called on the police to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that justice is served.
