“Abronye Is Engaging in Lunatic Behavior and Must Be Stopped” — Nyonkopa Daniels

The Executive Director of Peace Watch Ghana, Madam Nyonkopa Daniels, has publicly condemned NPP Bono Region Chairman Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye, accusing him of using abusive language and escalating attacks on former First Lady Lordina Mahama.

The dispute began after Daniels urged Abronye to cease his public disparagements of the former First Lady. In response, Abronye allegedly launched a scathing verbal attack, claiming Daniels had been paid by Lordina to defend her honor and using language described as “unprintable.”

Daniels, in a strong counterstatement, hit back:

“I do not entertain stupidity, nor do I entertain lunatics… He claims to pity me, but I also pity him. If he is truly a man, he should speak of his own mother’s achievements.”

She extended the criticism to the leadership character of Abronye, asserting he lacked the integrity to lead even at the local level:

“He is setting a bad example for young people… We do not want people attacking women, whether they are NDC or NPP.”

Daniels also warned she would mobilize Ghanaian women to publicly oppose Abronye’s conduct if he continues. She added that Abronye’s comments were an unhealthy trend, one she would not tolerate in a progressive society.

As tensions between these political figures unfold, observers are watching whether party elders or local leaders will intervene to calm the dispute. Prekeh Media will continue to monitor any responses or escalation in the days ahead.
