PRESIDENT MAHAMA TO HOST GRENADA PRIME MINISTER FOR BILATERAL TALKS ON FRIDAY

President John Dramani Mahama is set to host the Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell, for high-level bilateral talks at the Presidency in Accra on Friday, October 17, 2025.

The Grenadian leader will arrive in Ghana on Thursday afternoon, accompanied by a high-powered delegation including the country’s Chief of Staff, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development, and other senior officials.

Shortly after his arrival, the delegation will participate in the inaugural Ghana-Grenada Political Consultation Meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, signaling a new chapter in bilateral engagement between the two nations.

On Friday morning, President Mahama will welcome Prime Minister Mitchell for crucial bilateral discussions, followed by a State Luncheon in his honor. The Prime Minister’s itinerary also includes a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park before his departure later that day.

This visit builds upon bilateral agreements signed in 2024 between Ghana and Grenada, which included visa waivers and cooperation frameworks in culture, trade, and education. Grenada, a Caribbean island nation known for its volcanic landscapes, lush rainforests, and thriving tourism sector, continues to strengthen its diplomatic and economic partnerships with African nations, particularly Ghana.

The meetings are expected to further solidify cooperation between the two countries and explore new avenues for mutual development and people-to-people exchanges.
