The Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HeFRA) has intensified its nationwide enforcement exercise, closing down nine unlicensed health facilities in the Ashanti Region.
The nine facilities closed on Monday, October 13,2025, were among ten health facilities visited on day one of their exercise in Ashanti Region.
The facilities locked down include Rashbill Eye Care at 4 Garrison Mosque- no license, Ankhor Diagnostics, 4 Garrison Mosque- no license, Ankhor Diagnostics Annex, 4 Garrison Mosque – no license, Guinness Ghana Clinic at Kaase- license expired.
Others include Allen urological and Surgical Centre, Bomso- never being, Florence Maternity Home- Anloga – no license since 2019, Exquisite Medical Imaging and Healthcare Centre,Kwamo- new facility not licensed, Michmit Clinic ,Ejisu -expired in 2021 and Paradyse Clinic, Ejisu.

Speaking on Ghanakoma morning show on Akoma 87.9fm in Kumasi with Sir John, on Tuesday, October 14,2025, the Head of Public Relations, HeFRA, Christabel Ayram Nuhoho, said the closures have left some patients stranded as officials continue inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
