Mrs Christiana Agyapong has appealed to the youth of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to rally behind her husband, Ken Ohene Agyapong, as the party’s next flagbearer.
Addressing a gathering of NPP youth, she reminded them of the party’s rich legacy of policies that directly transform lives and urged them to embrace Ken Ohene Agyapong’s vision for Ghana’s future.
She highlighted NPP’s unprecedented track record of life-changing intervention across generations.
“Former President Kufuor brought Free Maternal Care, which most women benefited and former. President Akufo-Addo gave our kids Free SHS. Our children who are now of age need jobs, and my husband, Ken Ohene Agyapong, is bringing jobs as evidenced by his job creation track record,” she said
According to Mrs. Agyapong, Ken Ohene Agyapong’s unmatched entrepreneurial spirit and proven job creation capacity make him the right leader to drive Ghana into a future of prosperity. She stressed that just as the NPP has always stood for pragmatic, bold and people-centred policies, it is now time for the party to present an honest leader who embodies action, results, and opportunity for all qualities that Ken has consistently demonstrated.
She called on the youth to take ownership of their future by rallying massively behind Ken Ohene Agyapong’s candidacy, emphasising that his vision goes beyond promises: it is backed by decades of real, practical achievements in business and employability.
“The NPP has always been about transformation. With Ken Ohene Agyapong as flagbearer, we will secure jobs and I trust my husband on that, empower the youth, and continue the party’s legacy of delivering for every Ghanaian household. I know our dear delegates, grassroots and Ghana as a whole can’t wait to experience his honest leadership,” she assured.
The charged atmosphere at the engagement reflected the strong enthusiasm among the youth, many of whom pledged their unflinching support for Ken Ohene Agyapong’s bid to lead the NPP as its flagbearer and ultimately lead Ghana into a new era of economic development.
