Koku Anyidoho Forgives Asiedu-Nketiah, Wishes Him Well

Former NDC Deputy General Secretary Samuel Koku Anyidoho has said he forgives his former boss, Johnson Kwadwo Asiedu-Nketiah, and wished him well as he exits the NDC Headquarters after 21 years of service.

In a [post on X – LINK] on Thursday, October 22, 2026, Mr Anyidoho wished him the best of luck and “Ayekoo”, according to [Metro TV Online – LINK].

“Ayekoo .. I forgive you for how you deliberately sought to destroy my political career … I have moved on and wish you well too as you move on in life,” he wrote.

Mr Anyidoho said that, in all honesty, he had no problems with Mr Asiedu-Nketiah when they worked together. He said he contested him for the position of General Secretary in 2018 because of an assurance he says he was given.

“Asiedu-Nketiah knows, and most people know that I contested because he assured me that he would not contest again. As it is, the rest is history,” he said.

He also recounted Mr Asiedu-Nketiah’s 21 years of service. He recalled a strong rally of party support for him at the 2005 Congress in Koforidua, to take over from the then General Secretary, Dr Nii Armah Josiah Aryeh.

Mr Anyidoho said the two men met about two months ago at the Kumasi airport and warmed to each other.

“We met recently by chance at the Kumasi airport …we shook hands and cracked a few jokes. I believe that there is more that unites us than divides us. I have chosen to focus on the positive sides of life than dwell on the negatives …” he said.

He ended with a prayer, saying people live by God’s grace to see how the future unfolds.
