Dr Forson has said statutory funds are now being released on time and in full, marking a departure from the delays, capping and arrears that previously affected payments.
His announcement follows the release of the third-quarter statutory funds for 2026.
“Unlike in the past, when payments were marked by delays, capping and arrears, we now release these funds on time and in full,” Dr Forson said.
“This ensures statutory funds have the money they need to provide the essential services required by law.”
The funds and programs covered include the Ghana Education Trust Fund, the Free Senior High School Program, the District Assemblies Common Fund, the National Health Insurance Fund and the Ghana Medical Trust Fund.
Others are the Road Maintenance Trust Fund, the Mineral Development Fund and the Mineral Income Investment Fund.
The payments support services that directly affect the daily lives of Ghanaians. They also allow the institutions responsible to plan and carry out their work.
