The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the WAFU Zone B qualifying final between Edo Queens FC and Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC will resume in Egypt on 28 or 29 October 2026.
CAF made this known in a letter to both clubs, according to Prekeh Media – LINK
The letter referred to the final played on 5 September 2026. It also cited later decisions by the CAF Organising Committee for Women’s Football on 26 September 2026 and by the CAF Appeal Board on 16 October 2026.
The match will restart from the beginning of extra time with the score at 2-2. Two periods of 15 minutes will be played, followed by a penalty shoot-out if the teams are still level.
CAF also said the continuation will be handled by match officials different from those appointed for the original match.
The decision follows the annulment of Edo Queens’ 4-1 penalty shoot-out victory, after Ampem Darkoa lodged a successful protest.
The winner of the replay will represent WAFU B at the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The exact date, venue and kick-off time will be confirmed to the clubs shortly.
