Ayikoi Otoo Rejects Claims of Fake Evidence in Torkonoo Committee Proceedings

Former Attorney-General Ayikoi Otoo has forcefully denied allegations by ex-Auditor General Daniel Domelovo that he submitted fraudulent evidence during the parliamentary committee hearings investigating Justice Gertrude Torkonoo.

Speaking on Joy FM’s Top Story program on October 7, Otoo expressed “deep disappointment” in Domelovo, accusing him of allowing political bias to cloud his judgment. “I didn’t know him to be that political, but now I see him wearing political glasses,” Otoo said.

Domelovo, during an appearance on the KSM Show, had asserted that Otoo presented a questionable letter purportedly signed by the Judicial Secretary. He suggested the document was fabricated to legitimize Torkonoo’s appointment. “He gave us evidence that was fake,” Domelovo claimed.

Otoo, however, stood by the authenticity of his documentation, stating that the documents remain publicly accessible. “The statement is false… I am highly disappointed in him and how political he has become,” he responded.

This public exchange comes amid intense scrutiny over the committee’s handling of the Torkonoo petition and raises further questions about the credibility of witnesses and evidence presented.

As tensions continue to mount, Prekeh Media will monitor further developments and any formal responses from either party.
