A Heavy-duty truck loaded with lumber has killed a nursery pupil at Adugyama in Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region.
A tragic accident at Aburaso near Adugyama in the Ashanti Region on October 28, 2025, claimed the life of a young pupil identified as Daniel after a heavy-duty truck carrying lumber lost control.
Two other children who were trapped under the falling logs sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the Bechem Hospital.
According to 3News sources, the accident occurred when cyber logs from a long vehicle with registration number GE 9901-11 fell onto the children as they walked home from school.
Residents near the scene told reporters that Daniel was pronounced dead upon arrival at Bechem Hospital.
“Daniel and two other pupils were returning from school when the truck’s load of logs slipped off and fell on them, killing Daniel instantly,” one resident recounted.
The tragic incident has plunged the family and the Aburaso community into deep mourning. Police have since launched an investigation and secured the accident scene.
