Fuel Prices Reduced Slightly as Global Oil Prices Ease

In a relief for drivers and businesses, the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has announced a slight reduction in fuel prices at the pumps. Petrol is now selling at GHS 13.20 per liter, down from GHS 13.50, while diesel has dropped to GHS 12.80 per liter.

The adjustment follows a decline in global crude oil prices and a stable cedi-dollar exchange rate. Transport unions have welcomed the news, with some operators promising to review fares if prices remain stable for the next quarter.

Economists, however, caution that the reduction may be short-lived, given the volatility of global oil markets. Still, consumers are hopeful that fuel prices will continue on a downward trend.
